Theater August in the diaspora, which employs professional actors from various theaters in Belarus – those who had to leave their homeland due to danger to security or even life in their homeland. During their years in Lithuania, the actors independently created two performances: P. Priazko’s “Third Shift” – about the origins of aggression – cruelty in the lives of children and adolescents, as well as the play “For Who” using contemporary Belarusian poets about famous poets shoted in 1937. in October.

On the 29th. Several actors also participated in the performance of the Lithuanian Russian Drama Theater “We Breathe Together” based on the play of the same name by M. Ivaškevičius. The performance was awarded the earring of Boris Dauguvietis. The theater team plans to create performances on relevant political and existential themes that dazzle the unfolding and creative beginning of the human spirit.

The rehearsals period of the new performance start with actors-refugees from Belarus and from the war in Ukraine. The rehearsals are based on the play by E. Ionesco’s play “Hunger and Thirst” under the new title “House in the Middle of Spring”. We are confident that our cooperation with our Ukrainian colleagues will be creatively promising and long-term.
