Greetings

I’m Milena Smolinskaya, and my journey into the world of US public charter schools began in 2015. Prior to that, I had a successful career in financial auditing in Europe. However, my passion for education and my desire to make a meaningful impact led me to a charter school in Florida, where I assumed the role of overseeing Federal Programs.

 

My introduction to the US public school system was marked by rapid achievements in securing federal grants and developing compelling charter school proposal applications. This success catapulted me into the role of Development Director, a position I’ve held with dedication and enthusiasm.

In addition to helping these schools secure vital start-up funding from Florida Department of Education and South Carolina Department of Education, I’ve guided them through the rigorous accreditation process with Cognia, both at the school and corporate levels. I’ve also provided invaluable support in navigating the charter contract renewal process with Duval County Public Schools and managed many federal and state grants
